Wives and Daughters (1999)
Austen wasn't the only clever female author to come out of Britain. BBC adapted Elizabeth Gaskell's novel about a young woman's coming-of-age in the seemingly innocent countryside of rural England into a riveting mini-series, which also has some English actor heavyweights like Michael Gambon and Francesca Annis (a far cry from her performance in David Lynch's Dune).

I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, given the good reviews for this documentary.

Stay in your seats when the end credits start rolling.

I've never cried so much in a movie theatre before.

What a waste of time and hype.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
They really don't make movies like this anymore, and that's a shame.

Robert Pattison is hot! That's about the best thing about this movie.

Ed Harris' first attempt at directing is a wonderful work of art in its simplicity.

Zodiac (2007)
Not following the classic three-act structure, this movie is an compelling look at the incompetencies in the police force as they tried to solve a 1960s serial-murder case that remains open till today.
